Can Nimble Streamer accept audio stream from Butt or other tools?

I would like to stream audio from a laptop which could be linux, windows or mac. I use Butt now, but can I setup Nimble Streamer to work with Butt directly? Currently, I am able to setup Butt with Nimble Streamer via Icecast.

The setup lookes like this:
Butt => Icecast => Nimble Streamer
But I want to make it like this so I don't have to setup additional icecast:
Butt => Nimble Stramer

Since, I stream audio only, I don't want to use anything that requires me to stream a video. I can accept any replacement for Butt as long as it is open source and supports multiple platforms which means ubuntu, mac and windows.

all I can suggest here is to check NImble input spec https://wmspanel.com/nimble/live_streaming and Butt output spec and find another way to connect Nimble to the encoder if you don't like current setup. If you have any specific question please let us know
