API Access

Zach 2019-07-15 23:38:25 UTC in Nimble Streamer

I'm evaluating nimble streamer and have a few questions regarding APIs.
I see reference to a push API on https://wmspanel.com/api_info that would allow me to receive notifications for stream publish / unpublish. That appears to be a feature of WMSPanel not Nimble Streamer. Is that correct? Can I not configure such notifications to come directly from Nimble Streamer? For my use case I need timely event notification with accurate event time. Are these events being pushed from Nimble Streamer or are we polling?

Anything you can do to expand on this would be appreciated. Also, are there event notifications for other protocols such as SRT?

Please notice that publish/unpublish push API only work for Wowza servers, you can't setup it for Nimble. You can use publish control API instead ( https://blog.wmspanel.com/2015/12/rtsp-publish-control-setup.html ), but it will be called on start on publishing only.
This API is called from Nimble instance, so it would work even without WMSPanel access.

Also you can call
/manage/publish_control/status API on Nimble instance directly to poll status ( check https://wmspanel.com/nimble/api#toggler=14 for details).
There are no notifications for other protocols, you can only pull stream status via /manage/rtmp_status API ( despite of name, it return status of all streams) and check when bandwidth would change from 0 to some value.

Thanks for your response Denis. Are webhook anywhere on the roadmap for nimble streamer?
