Using an Alias with RTMP Republish

I tried an alias application name with "RTMP Replublish" from a Nimble-origin to Nimble-Edge server,
to separate internal streams from Origin to Edge, and from clients who are playing the same stream from origin.
This should give me a better look by "stream report"
But when I use an alias as source application name, the stream doesn't republish to the edge server.

Application aliases work for playback only.
If you want to publish stream with different application/name just change stream name in Republish dialog or setup another application for edges and setup RTMP Republish so that to use new stream name or new application name or even both.
This way if you publish your stream with different names to edge you will archive better look. Aliases are for cases when you want to have different wmsauth settings or statistics for the same stream but provided for example to different customers.
For your can you just need to publish your stream with different names to your edges
