Upload bandwidth usage?

Does streaming from my server to multiple viewers use more of my upload bandwidth? It is my understanding that the upload bandwidth comes into play when sending a remote stream to a streaming server, and the number of viewers does not impact my upload bandwidth.
This may be a simple question, but I can't seem to find this answer anywhere else on the internet, I've searched all over.

Viewer requests server for stream, periodically send commands. TCP is bidirectional protocol so sender and receiver sends data to each other so yes upload bandwidth increased with viewers grow. But this is very small increase comparing to download bandwidth used to deliver video/audio data.
