UDP stream to Dailymotion via RTMP

andy 2021-01-31 20:34:29 UTC in Nimble Streamer

I'm currently using Nimble Streamer to take a multicast MPTS UDP stream from an Ericsson AVP4000 encoder and send it over the internet via SRT to another instance of Nimble Streamer which then converts it back to UDP in order to feed a DVB-T muliplexer.

UDP----------->SRT------>UDP

I'd also like to take this UDP stream and send it to Dailymotion as well. It appears DM only accepts RTMP. I've set up a republish instance in the sending streamer. But nothing appears to reach DM. I've looked in the logs (including setting the logging level to debug) and don't seem to be able to find any evidence that Nimble is trying to do anything.

All the examples of RTMP streaming in Nimble seem to be related to either republishing existing RTMP streams, or using tools like Larix to originate the stream.

Is what I'm trying to do, possible?

Hello, David.
When you define application and stream names at MPEGTS OUT, it can be used for RTMP republishing. Have you tried other RTMP destinations to check RTMP republishing to sort Dailymotion related issues?
Please launch a ticket at wmspanel.com/help to check your configuration.

Thank you.

Hi,

You need to use outgoing streams as described in section 3 here https://blog.wmspanel.com/2015/06/mpegts-transmux-hls-rtmp-dash-nimble-streamer.html and then go to RTMP republishing setup page and just use that outgoing stream as a source.

If you have any issues please send us ticket to our helpdesk.
