I've added the .srt files just like the blog says (vod-subtitles-webvtt-srt-ttml-support) and the playlist.m3u8 file is similar to the example but when using VLC subtitles not showing up. What can I do?
Hi,
- you can check you have subtitles. just run curl http://yourhost/stream/playlist.m3u8 and try to find SUBTITLES keywork there
If you cannot you have problem with subtitles generation
- if you see subtitles in playlist find subtitles in vlc. I don't recall exactly but probably you need to enable them explicitly.
In additional you can check subtitles using http://player.wmspanel.com/
thanks for the reply Alex.
subtitle option is disabled in VLC, and playlist file does show subtitles

Maybe you need to add subtitle to video permanently then you can see the subtitles on videos: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/add-subtitles.html
