Hello,
I have the ability to send an SRT stream to my Nimble Streamer instance for ingestion and redistribution.
I want to accomplish the following to start with:
Have Nimble Streamer ingest the SRT stream and rebroadcast that stream to SLDP players at some URL, i.e. 1-to-many SRT relay. However, from reading the description for Nimble Streamer it says "Supports SRT ingest and transmuxing/distributing in RTMP/HLS/DASH"
I don't want RTMP, HLS or DASH. I want the SRT stream coming into Nimble Streamer to be relayed by Nimble Streamer to SLDP players.
Is there a step-by-step guide for doing this?
I also want to find out how many SRT streams can Nimble Streamer ingest and relay at the same time using some example AWS EC2 instance. I'm looking for benchmarks on how well it scales on a single server and recommended EC2 instance for best performance/lowest latency. I am thinking of M5 or C5 instances with ENI support, but I have no idea really what the best instance type would be. Any tips would be appreciated.
