Remote storage

Das 2016-05-31 05:59:59 UTC in Nimble Streamer

Why does Nimble does not support Https for remote storage(especially for Amazon S3).

Is is possible to add it?

Thank you for the idea, we've put it into our wishlist.

By the way you can access S3 via HTTP, could you please clarify what is the reason to use HTTPS for fetching videos?

Thank you.

Actually pretty soon, we will be adding some metadata with sensitive information to the mp4 files. So we would like the entire traffic to be over https:

So we would also really like to be able to access the Nimble streamer over https as well along with Nimble streamer accessing S3 over https.

Since i believe SSL is supported for Nimble (blog.wmspanel.com/2014/12/ssl-hls-mpeg-dash-icecast-https-support.html), the only thing remaining is https access to S3.

Could you also add Rackspace cloud files and Microsoft Azure storage along with S3. These two are the most famous ones apart from S3 and we use them too along with S3

Hello,

We've added HTTPS support for remote storages, please upgrade Nimble and try it in action: https://wmspanel.com/nimble/upgrade
