Nimble Looping some Channels

Geoff 2018-06-19 07:50:51 UTC in Nimble Streamer

I have 3 streamers all ingesting multicast and outputting mpeg.2ts.
All works fine for a while but then 1 of them will start looping a channel. Its fixed by restarting the mpegts in for that channel. The other 2 work fine and the multicast content is there, but nimble (on this server the channel is down) doesnt continue to ingest the multicasts for that channel. Its random across the 3 servers, it does it on 2 separate networks / headends, its across any channel. I would set up apis to check each channel but as its looping it thinks the channel is ok (even thought its hours out)

UPDATE: it seems to be just udp in (multicast or unicast). m3u8 or http in seems to never fail

Did you try to increase UDP buffer size as described here: https://wmspanel.com/forum/question/FAQ-Getting-artifacts-when-streaming-via-UDP-MPEG-TS-or-RTSP ? Also tune TCP/IP stack for UDP as suggested in this article: https://blog.wmspanel.com/p/nimble-streamer-performance-tuning.html
If this advice doesn't help, please submit your issue on https://wmspanel.com/help
