Channels loosing video codec and running in a loop

I have the problem that sometimes a channel will loose its video codec and will start running in a loop. If you try to pause the channel and restart it, the codec will appear in live streams but it will still play in a loop.
The only way i have found to solve this is to doa full reboot on the server...
Is there a command that will monitor the streams and restart if this occurs? or is there a command that i can run in linux to reload nimble restreamer?
