can you please provide a link for docs on this subjects? seems i read somewhere here there is a live streaming scenario under which nimble server can handle already created multiple bit rate files made available to it.

ABR DASH is done the same way as ABR HLS - you give several rendition streams as input and set up ABR group for them. Check this article for details: http://blog.wmspanel.com/2014/06/make-abr-hls-rtmp.html
