WMSPanel - Akamai RTMP option depreciated but still present in 'live stream settings'

Sadly Akamai has discontinued their RTMP option. To use the Akamai CDN I have been using the 'YouTube HLS' option.

Hello.
As far as I know, Akamai still may allow such ingest for some of the legacy (MSL3.5) customers. Please correct me if I am wrong. This is the reason we cannot drop it from the WMSPanel interface instantly.
Nice to know, that Nimble's YouTube HLS republishing options works for you.

You are right regarding MSL3.5, completely skipped my mind. It sounds silly but took a bit of time to work out I could (ab)use the YouTube HLS republishing option, it might be worth adding clarity to that button.

Not at all!
The YouTube republishing feature was made by the requests of users, who wish to push h265 to YT.
We actually didn't test it with Akamai, and this is the reason it is not covered in the documentation or tutorial video.
We will make such an article in the future.
