Re-Transmitting an incoming stream

Jon 2020-06-03 14:04:02 UTC in Nimble Streamer

First time user here, and a bit confused as to some of the terminology. Bear with me - I am sure this is basic. I have incoming stream set up from Larix Broadcaster app, and can see that video in the stream playback window. What I'd like to be able to do is send that stream back out to ingest via OBS as a remote source. What do I need to do in order to make this happen? I have WMS Panel set up, and i was able to get iphones connected. How do i send those back in real time out in a RTMP stream?

Hello, Jon.

You should probably refer to OBS documentation on adding RTMP URL as Input in Media Source.

You will receive it in OBS with some delay, not real-time.

Thank you.

right - sorry, I know how to do that part - my question is what am I using as the OBS address, pulling from Nimble? How do I find the "output" stream once the Broadcaster app has appeared in Nimble?

It's in Live Streams->Outgoing streams->then click [?] against your stream name and you will find URL in the 'Choose URL to play:' dropdown.
If you won't find a particular protocol there (e.g. no RTMP URL), this probably means it's not enabled by a checkbox in the Global tab. Enable and restart streaming, it will appear shortly as panel syncs.
Thank you.
