Published SRT stream not working. How do I fix?

I have nimble set up to ingest an SRT stream. My http based broadcasts and SLDP player all view the stream fine. When I try VLC to watch the srt stream set up in MPEGTS out, I get a distorted broadcast. What am i doing wrong

Please try to increase the latency value and set the latency in the URL you enter in VLC, e.g. srt://yo.ur.i.p:port/?latency=XXX

Please also check other players (e.g. SLDP Player mobile, it can play SRT) to check if the issue happens.

the sldp player plays it perfectly. just srt protocol issue on the downstream.

i set the latency to 1200, its still super choppy audio and almost no videoframes.

i need to import 2 streams into obs and srt protocol is my only option since it ws:// doesn't work.

we cannot comment on VLC capabilities for SRT playback. Check your network hardware is not dropping UDP packets first.
Please consult OBS documentation for getting SRT streams into it.

is there a reliable player for srt i can see if the issue is still occuring? because a lot of packets are being lost.

actually, i tried srt://... in the sldp player on android and got "couldn't connect to server." but ws://works.

Please make sure your server provides output SRT stream via Listen mode. This is the mode SLDP Player uses to connect to SRT stream.

im streaming to the server with ffmpeg. i am wondering if i just need the right configuration of srt parameters.

yes. its in listen mode. vlc can connect but its choppy to unwatchable. i dont know why the sldp player cant connect at all though

sorry. i just noticed the settings for maxbw was really low compared to what i set sending. i increased the value and the sldp player can connect now but its choppy there too. ill try to increase more and see if it helps.

okay. it connected and started playing now but it took a few seconds to clear up.
