Generating Thumbnail for Live/VOD streams

Is there any way in Nimble to generate Thumbnails For Live and VOD streams, which can be displayed to clients?

Unfortunatly, it doesn't implemented yet.
You can generate thumbnails using ffmpeg, for example: ffmpeg -i sample.mp4 -ss 0:01:30 -vframes 1 thumb.png will make thumbnail from frame at 0:1:30 position.

Any idea if and when it'll come?

It still planned, you may expect it for live streams in next few months, but we can't provide ETA for VOD content.

Is this feature already ready for VOD Streams?

I would like to use it for automatic Thumbnail generation for the Splashcreen of Video Players.

I'm sorry, but we still did not get back to this feature. BTW would it be enough for your case to have .MP4 thumbnails (with a single keyframe) or it is required to have JPG/PNG images?

Whatever works best for you guys, at the end we need this to show thumbnails when scrubbing at Android Media3 player.
