Initially, the Deep stats is the way our customers may browse daily statistics for each individual stream or file. We were asked about this capability from the very beginning of WMSPanel service, so recently we got to the point when we could technically cover this use case (as it requires un-common processing and storage techniques).
So the initial task was solved - a customer may request a stream and all of its bitrates via regular expression and group them together for better representation and understanding.
Calculating total numbers (traffic, time etc.) per single request for all matching was one of the "side effects" of the storage mechanism and it's quite a convenient feature.
Showing the search result is also just a way to indicate what is found per regular expression and it's something which helps narrowing the search to required group of streams. Having 100 streams is a hard-coded limitation which our processing and storage system is fine to handle.
So for now, 100 items in the output should be more than enough to solve the core Deep stats use case.
