Does having multiple protocols = bigger RAM cache?

Paul 2019-07-10 11:51:12 UTC in Nimble Streamer

If my app has HLS, DASH, and RTMP enabled, does the server keep all 3 in the RAM cache?
Or does it keep one version in cache and transmux to the other when needed?

Thank you

Hello Paul,

Nimble produces and keeps different set of data chunks for each protocol so enabling more protocols means Nimble will use more RAM for storing data in cache even if protocol is not used (not requested by clients).

Thank you.
