Does HLS checking affect statistics?

If Dispersa is checking the HLS stream each 5 minutes, does that mean that statistics will contain these connections and their traffic?
I'm using Nimble Streamer as HLS live re-streamer.

Hi James,
Dispersa checks availability by requesting playlist. Since Nimble doesn't count the playlist request as a complete connection, it is not reflected in WMSPanel statistics.
