DVR Records yield no data

No Audio/Video present in files, known good source, have tried v1 and v2 storage formats, checking/unchecking ivalid segments/protocol settings, adjusted strangely-preset 6second duration; no difference. No audio or video is being recorded. Please advise, files are empty containers

Have enabled Dash and HLS and MPEG TS and the like, application has been set, records still come back with error message upon attempted playback "Windows Media Player (or VLC as well) cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type (mp4 is shown) or codec that was used to compress the file"
