Upgrade procedure for Wowza agent

  1. Download WowzaAgentInstaller.tar.gz.
  2. Unpack it.
  3. Stop Wowza server.
  4. Replace WowzaAgentInstaller.jar in [Wowza installation directory]/lib .
  5. Replace wmspanel-lib directory in [Wowza installation directory]/lib .

  6. If your Wowza Streaming Engine version is 4.7.3 or newer please remove the following files after copying:

    [Wowza installation directory]/lib/wmspanel-lib/httpclient-4.3.6.jar
    [Wowza installation directory]/lib/wmspanel-lib/httpcore-4.3.3.jar
    [Wowza installation directory]/lib/wmspanel-lib/jackson-annotations-2.9.0.jar
    [Wowza installation directory]/lib/wmspanel-lib/jackson-core-2.9.0.jar
    [Wowza installation directory]/lib/wmspanel-lib/jackson-databind-2.9.0.jar

    These files will not exist if you install new version of Wmspanel Wowza agent but may exist if you upgrade from versions older than 4.7.3.
    If you do not remove these files your Wowza Streaming Engine and Wowza Streaming Engine Manager will work incorrectly.

  7. Start Wowza server.
